This is how my husband (John) proposed to me...
1) He had a white rose delivered to me
early in the day with a poem and note attached describing how the white rose
symbolized pure love.
2) A red rose was waiting for me at work
with a note/poem attached describing the joys of romantic love.
3) He picked me up form work and we drove
to the beach to watch the sunset. Waiting on our favorite bench was a bouquet of
irises and a note and poem describing the joys of familial and maternal love.
4) We went to a production of Romeo and
Juliet. When we walked in the door the usher presented me with a large bouquet
of wildflowers. The note/poem attached described the joy of love and friendship.
5) After the play I was
"kidnapped" by John and driven to a cliff-side park that overlooks a
beautiful ocean bay. The blindfold was removed and I saw an enormous bouquet of
daisies (my favorite flower). The note/poem attached described all of the things
that John liked most about me.
6) Then music (my favorite waltz) began
to play (from a cleverly hidden stereo) and we began to dance. As we waltzed around
the park, John asked me if I would marry him. Of course I said yes!
7) Also at the park was a table set up
with Martinelli's (we don't drink) and goblets. We toasted our new commitment to
each other, kissed a whole bunch, etc, etc. |
