My husband and I will be celebrating our 25th anniversary and will be renewing our vows with family and friends at our synagogue. Our Rabbi has not performed many reaffirmation of vows and anything he has shown us as far as what to be said just doesn't seem appropriate as a renewal. Might you be able to direct me to something like that? Have any ideas? Steve and I will exchange some of our own thoughts as well. We have to adult daughters ! that we would like to participate as well. Our 4yr old great nephew will bring
our rings to us when appropriate.  I would appreciate any help you might be able to offer.

Congratulations on your 25th anniversary! That really is a wonderful blessing from the Lord. It is so great to see two people that have stayed together through good and bad times!! Way to go, that is a wonderful accomplishment!!

Okay, to try to help you, first, visit ForeverWed.com's section on vow renewals, they offer some really great articles and vows:

VowRenewals.html

Definitely writing your own is always the most memorable, especially at a 25th anniversary because you both and you both only know where you have been in your lives and where you want to take this marriage. Put that in your vows!

Have your two daughters walk before you down the aisle together, to symbolize unity or they may walk with their husbands and then the husbands may stand on your husband's side and your girls may stand at your side...if not, just have one daughter on each side of you and your husband. Also, have the nephew walk down the aisle (symbolizing the ring bearer - he could walk down the aisle after your two daughters and right before you and your husband. You and your husband should walk in together because you are not being giving away but instead you are coming into this vow renewal together!

Create the Vow renewal in similar form to a wedding ceremony, except you add how you would like it. You deserve that honor !

I hope this has helped somewhat!! May God Bless You Both!
