I think any mention you make would be lovely. The exact wording should
be your own, since it's a very personal subject. Basically, you just
want to say that the gown was hers, and express how special it is to
you.
However, you could write something that includes her name and wedding
date, too, for more background. I think it probably should go fairly
late in the program, and separated from other information by a
decorative divider or the like.
You might choose to say something like:
"The bride's gown was originally worn by her mother [full name] during
her wedding on [date, maybe "at" place].
Thanks, Mom, for sharing this beautiful heirloom with me. Tina
Think it through and just write what you feel. I'm sure your
mother will appreciate the mention, and your guests will be glad to know
your gown's special history.
