My fiancé does not have a
relationship with his mother or father. This is largely due to
past emotional and physical abuse as a child. However, his
mother's sister (who has never married) has fulfilled the role
of mother for many years. In our program I am planning to have
a 'parent' subtitle, if you will, and list both of my remarried
parents and their spouses. Should my fiancé's aunt be included
there?

It would be really sweet of you to
honor your fiancé's aunt in that way. I'm sure she will be
thrilled. You might use her name, then a description like "the
groom's much adored aunt who has been like a mother to him" or
something that will identify her to your guests. Perhaps instead
of having a "parent" title for everyone, you might say "parents of
the bride" and "family of the groom."
