Q. I need a guide for an Episcopal Wedding Program
to furnish my guest so they can participate in the ceremony. Look
forward to hearing from you.
A.
I couldn't tell from your message if you had access to the full
text for the audience participation portions of the Episcopal
ceremony or not. If
you don't, you can find a very detailed discussion and text at the
following URL:

As for the actual format of the program, I imagine there are a
number of ways you could lay it out to include the information
guests would need
to participate-- and any of them would probably work just fine.
My first instinct was to make it a multiple-page program (probably
8 1/2 x 11, folded in half, then center/saddle stapled would be
the easiest).
The first page or two would include the normal items of scheduled
elements of the service and names participants. Then you could
use the
additional pages (as many as needed) to print out the service in
it's entirety.
I don't think you'll have any problem with guests not finding it
-- if it's multiple pages, they will wonder what the others
contain. : ) And
when they know it's there, they can refer to it if they wish.
If you have additional acknowledgments or anything else to put in
the program, you can decide if it should go in the opening pages
or after
the service. I think that it would be less confusing for all the
detail information to be together, and the service to be more of
an "appendix",
but I'm sure you could do it either way.
Another thing you might consider, if you haven't, is asking the
minister who will perform the ceremony if others have printed the
service, and if
he knows what format they used. I imagine that someone at the
church might have some good ideas.
I hope that this gives you some ideas. Do feel free to contact us
again if we can be of further assistance or clarify anything
written here.
Wishing you all the best.
