What is the proper format to put guest\'s names on the place cards?

Mr. & Mrs. Blah Blahson?

Mr. Blah & Mrs. Bleah Blahson?

Something else?

First, if you use place cards, you need one per person.  Most people prefer to use the person's first and last name, since it doesn't appear so stiff and formal.  Use the name that you call the person by, such as Bob instead of Robert. For a married couple you would have two cards, one saying Bob Smith and one saying Mary Smith.
