I am the proud mother of a bride to be; wedding Valentines Day. We want everything different and unique...and to start it off we wanted
to find some samples of the wedding ceremony wording.. different ones... where
can we go to find them? I've searched and there really isn't anything out there
from what I can see.
How sweet of you to be so enthusiastic about the
upcoming wedding. It
IS an exciting time for you all.
There are a number of excellent books available with a lot of different
ideas for vows and ceremony wording. Your daughter might look at her
local public library and/or book stores to see what might appeal to her.
At the library, I recommend trying to track down an older book called,
Write
Your Own Wedding by Mordecai Brill, Marlene Halpin and William Genne. I think it's one of the finest books ever on personalizing vows
and service. Of newer books at library or bookstore, you might enjoy
Weddings From the Heart by Daphne Rose Kingma. It also has a variety of
ceremony ideas which might inspire your daughter and her groom.
Don't forget
foreverweds vow section
Remember, too, that most ministers will allow couples to compose their
own vows, to say whatever they wish, as long as those vows follow any
church restrictions (if applicable) and use discretion and respect of
the fact that it is a public occasion. This means that if they are
creative, the options for the ceremony are wide open. And since they
have so much time, they should be able to come up with a service and
vows that will really represent who they are and how they feel about one
another.
Best wishes to you all!
