Marine Corps Colors

I am having a military wedding , my fiancι is in the Air Force. We want to have a patriotic theme and want red white and blue flowers. Can you suggest any flowers that look good together?

We were thinking of red roses, gardenias (his favorite flower) and baby's breath dyed blue. What do you suggest?

Your florist can show you pictures of different types of flowers that you might want to consider. That will help you get a feel for what you like and what will look nice together.  Delphinium is one flower to consider.  It comes in either pale blue or a darker blue.  Larkspur also comes in blue.  Both are taller, spikier flowers and would provide a nice contrast to the roundness of the gardenias and roses.  Your florist can cut them down to any length, so you won't have a long spike protruding from the bouquet, but the pointed tips and the smaller flowers would provide contrast.

If you want a rounder flower, carnations can be dyed blue.  There is also a filler, similar to baby's breath but with smaller blossoms, called Misty Blue, that would look nice with your colors.

You can also use ribbon in your bouquet in any color that you want, perhaps in all three colors.  It will look lovely, and quite patriotic.
