How can I get military escorts at my wedding.

Q. How can I get military escorts at my wedding.  Meaning for them to be at the doors and around the parking lot greeting people.  I am in the military myself and I would like to see my military peers at the wedding.  It just adds a little more meaning to the wedding.

Single-use cameras from $5.95

A. I agree that people in military uniform will look very classy for your wedding.  First, are you getting married at or near Ft. Bragg?  If you are, then you can simply invite some of your friends who will be off duty and ask them to help out.  Feed them and invite them to the rehearsal dinner and they will probably be glad to help.

If you are getting married at another location, it will be more challenging.  Contact the nearest national guard base or guard unit and see if they can give you the names of people you might contact.  You will probably have to use the services of volunteers and you might have to pay them.

Another option is to contact a Civil Air Patrol group and ask about having the teenage members work at the wedding.  You may need to make a donation to their unit for their services, but you would have the added benefit of a supervisor with them who can oversee what they are doing.
