Example of reception
only invitation
|
Q.
We are getting married in South Carolina on the
beach, having a reception in Kansas City when we
return home. I need an example of an invitation to
a reception only. We will be married at the time of
the reception. We are older adults, 49,,,anyways do
we word Mr. and Mrs. Michael Enright request the
honor of your presence at a reception to celebrate
their marriage in blh blah blah On Saturday, or how
would you word this..
A.
The wording for
your invitation will depend on whether all of
your guests will know who Mr. & Mrs. Michael
Enright are. If there might be some
questions, you can say, "Jean Beeler and
Michael Enright invite you to join them at a
reception in celebration of their marriage.
The reception will be held........." You can
also use Jean Beeler Enright and Michael
Enright if you would prefer. The main thing
is to be sure that your guests clearly know
who Mrs. Michael Enright is. The remainder of
the wording is pretty straight forward with
the date, location and time.
