How much should I spend on a wedding gift for a couple that did not buy us a gift for our wedding last year?


How much you spend depends on your relationship with the couple and your finances.  It shouldn't be influenced by how much they didn't spend on your wedding.  If you want to get something, but not a lot, how about a gift certificate to a mid-priced restaurant.  Or, if they have registered for gifts, you might choose several small items, which when combined, will look like a larger gift.
