I'm looking for an alternative for
Bridesmaids bouquets. Something not so expensive for them to
carry. Our wedding will be in the fall and the dresses will be
burgundy crushed velvet the mens vests will be forest green. I
thought about candles be they can be dangerous and messy. Any
other suggestions?
There are several things that your
bridesmaids can do other than carrying a bouquet. You are right
in thinking that candles can be messy and dangerous and your
ceremony location might not allow the use of an open flame. You
might have them carry fans, particularly old fashioned looking
ones. Another option would be to have each lady carry a single
long-stem rose or perhaps a single long-stem calla lily. If
your wedding will be in a church, they might each carry a small
Bible or prayer book.
