I am having a hard time deciding what colors I want in my August wedding.

For most brides, the color scheme develops from one or two main decisions, then evolves based on both preference and opportunity/availability/practicality.  Without knowing anything more than the month of your wedding, it's impossible to give you much advice, but perhaps the following examples of color considerations will give you
some ideas or direction.

~ Available (and appealing) bridesmaid gown colors can be a very practical inspiration.  Finding the right maids' gown color *first* can
make color matching more straight-forward.  Then your task is to match/harmonize the accessories, flowers, and other decorations to the gowns.

~ Favorite flowers can be another good place to start on choosing colors.  If you have a favorite flower variety that you would like to
include in your bouquets, look at the color(s) that flower is.  A favorite shade of that flower could be the main color in your color scheme.

~ Your overall wedding mood and style can sometimes suggest color scheme options as well.  Soft, subtle tones give a completely different effect than bold, vivid colors or deep, rich shades. You can use these effects to help enhance the look and mood you envision.  If you want more information about color and mood, contact me again, and I can send some additional material.)

~ Your wedding location can also sometimes influence your ideas on color scheme.  A very strong mood in a certain church or other building location, or an interesting outdoor location, could give you an inspiration or suggest a color scheme.  For instance, a garden setting might make you think of a multi-color palette of either pastels or
spring brights.  Or a beach wedding might look lovely with soft "seashell" shades of blue, green, tan, peach and/or pink.

I hope that this gives you some ideas.  Do feel free to contact us again if you have further questions.
