I've decided to wear my hair half up  and half down.  I have also decided that I do not want to wear my veil all night since it is long.  Since my headpiece is in the shape of a rectangle to coordinate with dress.  Do I need to also add something to my hair since it is not a big headpiece that I am leaving on my head.

Many brides remove their veils, including the headpiece, before the reception begins, either because the veil is too long or it is too close to the face to be comfortable when eating and dancing.  It is up to you whether you want to add something to your hair or leave your hair plain, which is the most common occurrence.

If you want to do something with your hair, you might consider having your hairdresser place pearls in your hair when she arranges it.  Then, when you remove your veil, the pearls will be visible, adding a light, but elegant touch.

Best wishes to you in your planning.
