Recently engaged, no contact with fiancés family

Create Her Ring

I recently got engaged and I feel offended because my fiancés family have not tried to contact me at all. I have only met them once and they seemed to like me alright, am I just feeling self-conscious?

You don't mention whether your fiancé's family lives near you.  If they do, they may be waiting for you or your parents to invite them to get together.  If they live some distance away, they may not have had the time to contact you and maybe they are just busy, or shy, or both.  I would suggest that you make the first move.  If they live away, you can drop a note saying how happy you are to be joining their family.  It would be a good idea, no matter where they live, to make an effort to get both sets of parents together before the wedding if possible.
