The day before the wedding is a
busy one for the best man. He is required to help
the groom in all sorts of unexpected directions.
The best man should check on preparations for
which he is responsible. Here's a list of what he
should check on.
- Check to see that the florist
got the order for the boutonnières and that they
are ready
- Check on the tuxedos if they
were rented to ensure they are ready to be
picked up.
- make sure the groom has
adequate clothing, other than the tuxedo if
renting, and that nothing is missing. We would
hate for the groom to be missing his socks or
shoes!
- Call and make sure the limo
or taxi will be on time. Ensure they have all
the locations they need. scheduling is very
important
- Make sure the groom has the
wedding rings
- Does the groom have all the
honeymoon documents? plane tickets, hotel
accommodations, ect? Did he remember to take
out some cash and does he have his credit cards
on hand?
- Make sure the groom has
completed packing for his honeymoon.
The best man should call the
brides mother to get the programs for the
ceremony. He should also allow more time for any
additional chores the brides family may have.
Also the best man should get in touch with the
ushers and let them know exactly what their duties
are and any other last minute details.
Once the best man is finished
assuming his duties he make want to ensure the
cake is being delivered, that the room for the
reception is still the same. If presents are
brought to the wedding, the best man will want to
ensure that they are placed at the correct
location.
