Champagne Rooms and Wineries

The Champagne Room

Champagne seems to be part of every modern textbook wedding. The sparkling bubbly plays the lead role when the Best Man toasts the newly wed couple. Choosing quality champagne is vital to the reception because nearly every guest will be drinking it when the bride and groom are christened.

The couple's personal taste will be the deciding factor in which champagne will make the final cut. One should sample a variety of tastes before committing to one brand.

Champagne selections generally consist of noticeable price tags. Imported French champagne is quite costly. To save money, consider a domestic product from California.

Off To See The Winery

The cream of the crop, in terms of quality and prestige, represent the French wines. In France, the fermentation of wine is more of an art form than a business. They meticulously weed out imperfect grapes in order to produce quality over quantity. With such discipline follow price tags fitting of their effort. Expect a French wine of respectable vintage (the year the wine was produced) to be the most expensive available.

There are many domestic wines that are of high quality at bargain prices. Do not forget to look into the wines available from other countries, as well. You will find many quality imports from obscure foreign establishments that will offer superb tastes for rock bottom prices.

Your choice of wines is abundant with quality products imported from across the globe. Choosing your wine, be it domestic or imported, should be considerably simple, due to its wide variety. Purchase a few bottles and sample them with your partner over an evening dinner. Once you've come to a decision negotiate a discount with your wine dealer for purchasing in bulk.

It may be in your best interest to directly contact the vineyard that produces the wine that you're interested in, enabling you to request they produce and sell you their wine near or below the wholesale price.

Types Of Wines

There are two basic choices of wine: red and white. Your selection of wine should complement your selection of food to be served. The white blends (usually a Chardonnay) should be served with light meals and white meat. The red blends (usually a Cabernet) are to be served with heavier meals and dark meat.

Before serving wine, allow it to marinate. White wines should be served cool, therefore chill it in crushed ice for at least one hour before opening. Red wines should be opened one hour before serving to allow it to "breathe." Serve it at room temperature prior to food presentation.
