Reception Site
answered by Gayle ODonnell

Q. Hi!  I found the perfect site for our reception that is 30 minutes from the church.   However, our guests may have to travel about 45-50 minutes back home again.   Should we not have our celebration there because of the travel time for our guests?
Thanks for your input!

A. Dear Michele

Your question was about whether it is okay to choose a reception site 30 minutes away from the ceremony.  I think that is reasonable, though I wouldn't recommend having guests go too much further than that.  Many people come from much farther than a 45-50 minute drive when attending a wedding, so I wouldn't let that worry you.  If it's what you want, go for it.
