•Buy a pretty journal to write your prayers and favorite Bible passages in. Write in and review it often.
•Read Jesus' words in Matthew 6:25-34. Pray that the Lord would give you the faith not to worry, but to trust Him with every detail.
•Choose a verse to memorize that will be your engagement verse, one that helps you keep your focus during this busy and exciting time. Write it out and keep it places that you will see it many times in a day, like on your desk, in your planner, in your car, etc.

Trying to take care of all of the details of life is hopeless without Jesus, but He created life and He is in control. As you spend time worshipping and devoting yourself to Him, you will learn just how much He loves you—that He is hopelessly devoted to you. When we worship Him, God gives us peace, perspective and joy in Him.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! There's that alarm clock again. Your bleary eyes check the time as your brain tells your hand to make the noise stop. OK. Time to get up. What am I forgetting? WHAT IF—"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you" (John 14:27 NIV). Thank You, Lord for Your peace. Thank You for reminding me of that verse this morning. Your thoughts are racing again, but the Lord is at the center of them this time, giving you the grace and peace you need as you spend time with Him in worship. CB
